Kids do not need a legal system. Disputes of all kinds are resolved with the do-over.
"Tag, you're it" cries the tagger
"Hey, I wasn't ready!" replies the new it.
An argument begins to brew until someone suggests everybody returns to their original spot and the event can just be re-played.
As adults we are not blessed with the ability to call "do-over". Instead, we have to take our lumps and chalk them up to experience. Hopefully experience is a powerful teacher and we learn to avoid the same mistake again.
An experienced professional, in any field, is not just someone who knows what to do. Equally important are the lessons they have learned from past experiences which have taught them when NOT to do.

Amen. Both from a personal and professional level. My goal each day is to not relearn a lesson the hard way.
